Core Essentials 2
Length: 90 mins
Teacher: Louis Jackson
In this second core session, we continue to explore the connection between core resilience, core receptivity, and the healing work that Toni and Mukund offer. After a simple spinal roll out and twisting warm up, we practice some essentials from the week before (the sidewinder, the dead volume reset, the complete yogic breath, bridge lifts to the diaphragm vacuum, revolved abdominal pose, intercostal crunches, spinal undulations) with the addition of reclined leg stretches. This week’s abdominal roll-out focusses on “back” breathing, the pelvic diaphragm, and being super soft. The class concludes with a “bone breathing” practice in savasana.
IMPORTANT: you will need a hard floor (off camera is fine) as a sliding surface to put a blanket or towel on. You’ll also need the usuals: blocks, strap, massage balls.
