Core Essentials 1
Length: 90 mins
Teacher: Louis Jackson
In this first of six core essentials classes, Louis explores how core resilience and core receptivity complement the healing work that Mukund and Toni offer. After a simple twisting warm-up, we practice these essentials: the sidewinder, the dead volume reset, the complete yogic breath, bridge lifts to the diaphragm vacuum, revolved abdominal pose, intercostal crunches, spinal undulations, locust pose variations, and the pelvic floor contract/relax in mulasana squat. The class concludes with a deep abdominal roll out with contract/relax breathing and a focussed attention exercise with the yogic rhythmic breath.
IMPORTANT: you will need a hard floor as a sliding surface to put a blanket or towel on. You’ll also need the other usuals: blocks, strap, massage balls.
